Tractor & Equipment Mechanic - Katy

Location: Katy, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22-30/Hr.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Farm Tractor and Ag Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Katy, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing mechanical repairs, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting with routine maintenance. This position is suited for someone with a strong work ethic, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced technicians to diagnose issues, perform repairs, maintain equipment, and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Assist senior technicians with complex repairs and equipment servicing.
• Inspect equipment and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
• Follow maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Document completed repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment issues as required.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, farm equipment repair, or a related technical field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and develop additional technical skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or materials as required.
• Must have your own tools and box.
